Surf & Adventure Co. kayak tours have been around since '00. Started back when we were Sandbridge Eco Sports, we run most of our tours either out on Back Bay or the Atlantic ocean- and both continue to provide us with a wonderful environment to explore. We have a great staff of knowledgable, friendly tour guides made up of school teachers, college students and professionals who love the outdoors and getting out on the water.
Our location on a creek that runs through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge out to the north part of Back Bay allows us to schedule small or large groups thoughout day; and being less than a mile from the beach makes it just as easy to get out for those memorable dolphin tours. Click here for our trail map.
All tours run 2 to 3 hours. Cost: $45 adult $25 child No experience necessary, all equipment provided.
Dolphin Tours, Sandbridge Beach
Out on the ocean for a dolphin tour.
Yes, this is for real and right off Sandbridge beach. Joe Bell gets a once in a lifetime experience.
Kayaking tours of Sandbridge’s awesome oceanfront bring you face to face with the strength and beauty of the Atlantic. Paddle over soft rolling swells, breathe the fresh salt air and enjoy spectacular displays of sealife. Watch pods of dolphins jump through the surf and loggerhead sea turtles meander passed. See pelicans and osprey dive for fish. Ocean kayaking off Sandbridge Beach is an exciting adventure for the entire family. Tours launch daily from south Sandbridge Beach with views of False Cape's undeveloped beaches.
Back Bay tour
Leaving the dock for our Back Bay tour.
Experience beautiful Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Encounter herons, osprey, bald eagles, kingfisher and colorful birds throughout the marshes as turtles and snakes sun themselves along the waterway banks. Bring cameras and binoculars to find and photograph the wildlife and scenery of this unique refuge. A flat water paddle great for all skill levels.
Kayaking Dinner tours
The right atmosphere to finish off a great paddle.
Going "out" to dinner takes on an exciting new meaning, as our Sunset Dinner Tour takes you through Back Bay to Blue Pete's restaurant for a delicious dinner. Your kayak adventure exposes you to pristine settings, local wildlife and the vast Back Bay. After taking in the local color and wildlife, it's time to paddle on over to Blue Pete's, a popular Pungo mainstay since 1972. There, enjoy your dinner of choice. Known for serving up fine seafood and steaks, Blue Pete's is a great place to unwind, and wind up your tour.
When you make your reservation a time will be set to meet at Blue Pete's. We will pick you up in our passenger van and bring you to Surf & Adventure Co. to paddle one way back to the restaurant. Once there you can relax and take your time enjoying great food and a wonderful atmosphere.
