The Magic Model is Steve Walden's patented hull, built here in Surftech's resin-tinted poly construction. A concave nose feeds into a double concave through the back third and a moderate V off the tail, so the board noserides and holds a clean trim line but still turns off the back foot far better than 9'6" has any right to. Hard, beveled rails keep it from catching without deadening the feel, and the full Magic rocker keeps it lively from knee-high summer slop up to overhead. One of the best-selling longboard shapes ever made, and an easy board to recommend to just about anyone.
